iGO4 Limited was founded in November 2007, by Tom Cooper and Matt Munro, who collectively have over 40 years’ experience in the personal insurance market. Since it’s inception iGO4 has grown and has become a trusted and comprehensive insurance provider.

Tom Cooper

Tom Cooper - Executive Director

Tom has worked in Financial Services for 30 years, starting life in Midland Bank in the late 1970’s. Tom moved into the insurance sector in the mid 1980’s working for the Life Assurance company formed by a number of Lloyds syndicates. Spells with Royal &Sun Alliance and Guardian Royal Exchange followed before switching to general insurance and NIG at the start of the 1990’s. Here Tom worked in a variety of roles before becoming Head of Household for the Dial Direct brand - a role he carried through to the Budget Insurance Group when they acquired Dial Direct at the turn of the century.

A complete change of direction took place in 2003 when Tom moved from underwriting into the position of E-commerce Director and oversaw a 20 fold increase in new business sourced online as the price comparison sites began to emerge, and indeed was the head of the team that created and managed Comparethemarket.

Tom used this knowledge to create iGO4 alongside BGL Business Development Director Matt Munro in 2007. In 2009 the company won the Insurance Times Broker Innovation award in its first full year of trading and in July of this year the company moved its administration from BDML Capita to create its own contact centre in Peterborough.

Matt Munro

Matt Munro - Managing Director

Matt has been in Insurance since leaving university 16 years ago and his previous experience includes key roles at Aon Limited and Endsleigh Insurance. Before creating iGO4 Limited alongside Tom Cooper, Matt was the Sales Director at the BGL Group, using his extensive expertise and experience in delivering tailor made Corporate Partnership solutions for a number of blue chip partners such as Post Office and Marks & Spencer's. Matt was also involved in the successful launch of Comparethemarket and so has a complete understanding of the personal insurance and price comparison markets.

Phil Zeidler

Phil Zeidler - Chairman

Phil brings a wealth of experience in the personal insurance market to the team, with his most recent role being as Managing Director of Junction (part of the BGL Group). Phil was responsible for building the Junction business into the recognised market leader, providing Corporate Partnership insurance solutions to large blue chip organisations such as Post Office, Bradford & Bingley and Mark & Spencer and ensuring that customers had access to a first class proposition and service. His role as non-Executive Chairman is to provide strategic direction and ensure that iGO4 stays at the forefront of innovative customer solutions.

Chris Mays

Chris Mays - Non-Executive Director

Chris Mays has had a career in insurance and reinsurance broking spanning 20 years providing valuable experience in business management at blue chip companies, holding senior roles at Jardines, Nicholson Leslie and Rattner Mackenzie with Board responsibility for growing profitable businesses and overall strategy and management.

Between 2001 and 2006 Chris was involved in a number of roles as a Business Angel including setting up a new energy supplier and acting as a Non-executive director of a company developing software and ISP services aimed at teachers and the education community. Chris is also a Founding director of the aQmen group of companies, a specialist insurance broker and management company established to provide focused and bespoke insurance solutions, primarily in the specialty and SME insurance sectors.

Chris has helped to steer the iGO4 business from initial concept through to its current position and is instrumental in shaping the future of the business.

Neil Beckingham

Neil Beckingham - Finance Director

Neil is a Chartered Management Accountant who spent his formative years as an accountant working in industry with Reed International. He changed direction to broaden his experience and became Finance Director of a start-up subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland growing the business to become No.3 in the UK market over a 12 year period before successfully merging the business with Lombard NatWest Commercial Services. His financial services experience enabled a move into the insurance sector where he worked as Head of Finance at BGL Group and was subsequently MD of their Own Brands Division.

His experience includes successful acquisitions, working for a PE backed SME and strategic development & delivery. In addition to financial management, Neil is responsible for regulation and compliance.

Adam Procter

Adam Procter - Head of Operations

Adam is responsible for ensuring that our customers experience an unrivalled service when dealing with iGO4, whether online or via the telephone, making sure that queries related to either buying or servicing their policies are handled fairly and efficiently. Adam also ensures that any website enhancements maintain its clarity and concise nature, and he will manage the implementation of our new product offerings utilising his extensive background in Change & Project Management across Europe for companies such as Nestle and Fitness First.

Ross Brown

Ross Brown - Head of Product Development

Ross has been in the insurance industry for over 12 years, in a variety of roles with Kwik Fit Insurance Services. He has been involved in setting up many successful schemes, panels and projects during this time, working closely with insurers and using innovative approaches. In his role as account manager he built up strong business and personal relationships with many people in the General Insurance industry.

At iGO4 he manages all insurer relationships and product development. His aim is to expand our insurer panel, by bringing in insurers who share iGO4's innovative approach and who want to grow their business in partnership with iGO4. He will also identify additional products to offer to our customers as the market evolves.
